Personnel Trainer

My name is Charlotte and I’m a professionally trained and qualified personal trainer in Queenstown. I’ve worked in the exercise, health and fitness industry since 2009 and now I operate a small but fully equipped private home gym, QTPT (Queenstown Personal Training).

My professional qualifications include a Certificate in Personal Training and an Exercise To Music Instruction Certificate. And as a REPs registered personal trainer, I’m committed to creating a safe and inclusive gym environment.

My interest in the gym began with my mum when I was very young. I remember her playing celebrity workout videos on VHS and me throwing myself around the lounge trying to keep up with her. At first I would join in for just a few minutes on and off, but I noticed that I could complete more of the workout each time. I believe this was my first taste of what I continue to love about my training even now… The satisfaction of achieving new goals and discovering more of what my body is truly capable of. Now, I’m a mum myself, to my lively and lovely 7 year old son, Andre. You might see him occasionally in the QTPT gym, and your kids are welcome to observe or join in with your workouts too.

I offer personal training in Queenstown to individuals, couples, small groups and bootcamps. If you’re a gym newbie, I’m passionate about guiding you slowly and safely through a full gym and exercise introduction. Helping you establish a solid foundation of fitness and then watching you develop more skills and experience gives me a lot of joy and satisfaction. For more seasoned gym-goers I absolutely love to bring you new training ideas, creative movements, and more challenging workouts. I take inspiration from years of experience in the fitness industry as well as new trends and recent research. My approach is friendly and professional and with just the right amount of push to take your fitness to the next level.

Outside of the gym I love to move my body with salsa dancing, hiking, skiing, yoga, riding my bike, and more dancing. I enjoy running, but only on holiday as a way to explore somewhere new and take in the view. This is a hobby I picked up from my dad who would go for a recon run on day one of what felt like every holiday of our childhood. I also love cooking with friends and family, baking healthy and not-so-healthy treats, camping in the summer, and a glass of red wine by the fire in winter.

Life is a constant balancing act. Juggling work, family, friends, activities, holidays, fitness, nutrition, sleep, etc is always challenging. So, let me manage your workout plan and take one thing off your mind.

What does that mean to you?

NZ Register of Exercise Professionals (NZ REPS) is the quality mark of exercise professionals and facilities in New Zealand. 

To get safe and effective exercise advice, ensure you are using the services of a REPS registered exercise professional or facility, as it has many benefits. REPs registration is the independent verification that the exercise professional is suitable to give exercise advice and instruction.

REPS professionals must:

  • Undertake ongoing education and professional development to maintain registration.
  • Agree to follow the industry Code of Ethical Practice which provides important protection to the public, and a complaints process for any breaches of the code.

The QTPT Gym

Your private workout space

Launched in 2024, QTPT is a private Queenstown gym with new top of the line equipment, full bathroom facilities, free parking, and even an infrared sauna. All of this is conveniently located in Frankton, close to New World.

The QTPT Queenstown gym features all the barbells and whistles needed for a variety of training styles. This includes but is not limited to: dumbbells, barbells, weighted plates, kettlebells, rowing machine, air bike, power tower, cable system multi-gym, adjustable gym bench, aerobic step, dead balls, resistance bands and yoga mats.

Inside Queenstown’s newest gym, there’s space and equipment for everything from mobility, stability and stretching, to cardio, functional and strength training. And we can even move your workout outside in the fresh air too!

All QTPT gym sessions are under the guidance of a professionally qualified Queenstown personal trainer. This could be 1:1 coaching, signing up for our 4 week gym introduction course, training with a partner or friends, or joining one of our bootcamps/gym challenges. There are no membership fees, no queues for equipment, and strictly absolutely no intimidating gym bros. So, there’s no more excuses either…
